We've Moved!

It's May 25, 2007. We closed on our house on April 23, 2007. This place is awesome!! Renee finally moved up after finishing up school. The movers came the next day after we closed and moved all of our boxes in. We are still going thru stuff but eventually we will get it sorted thru. Anyways, take a look at our masterpiece:

The Walk-Thru

We had the walk-thru today and everything looked really good. There were a few minor things such as dings and scratches and then a minor outlet "incident." I hired Robert Major of Major Home Inspection to do a home inspection as well. Levi the Project Manager was fairly receptive to the things I wanted fixed/corrected. Just a few more days and we get to move in! Whoo hoo!

Lawn, Lights, and Water

Well surprise surprise surprise! The lawn and shrubs are in! The electricity was turned on and we have running water! Plus we have a microwave, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator! Everything is looking awesome!! The deck was painted and the stair rails were stained! Plus the fireplace mantel was installed! See some of the changes below:

Brazillian Cherry Hardwood Floor

On 04/07/2007 they installed our Brazillian Cherry Hardwood Flooring in the kitchen, half bath, and downstairs foyer. It looks awesome!! Plus, they installed the toilets and faucets in the master and guest bathrooms as-well-as installed the laundry room wash basin. Plus, yesterday, I purchased a new set of Maytag Bravos washer/dryer from the Home Depot and ordered blinds from Next Day Blinds! Things are definitly looking great!! We are about 2-weeks away!!

Lots of changes....

I've been out to see the house several times over the last week and I've seen lots of changes. The most noticable, and not to our liking, was the removal of our awesome door and it was replaced with the "sunburst." I don't know what the deal is with that. The other changes have all been for the better, for example, the deck appears complete, the lights and face places have been installed, shelving is up in the closets, the granite is in the kitchen, and the kitchen sink has been installed. Shazam! What a change!

It's been about a week since I was last at the house. I was in Tampa celebrating Momma's B'day. Anyways, there have been many changes in the past week. The walls are up, seamed, and the first coat of paint up. Additionally, all the door frames and part of the molding has been installed. The fireplace has white marble surrounding it! And how cool is this...the paprika cabinets are up! Man do they look nice! Plus, they have the tile in the the guest and master bathroom laid (althought not yet grouted). And lastly, part of the deck has been installed. Everything looks great and Renee and I are super excited! Here are a few updated photos:

Walls Are Up

We have walls!! Renee was up this past weekend so of course we went by to see the house. It had changed SO much since she was up 2 weeks ago...we had brick and we had walls! Plus the vinyl is up. And today, 3/20/07, they poured our driveway. We also have a sidewalk and steps in front. So many changes in just a few days! I think they taped the walls today and tomorrow and the rest of this week they will probably put the initial paint job on (or whatever they call that) and then start installing the kitchen cabinets. Things are coming along nicely!! Stay tuned for more updates....
